AirAsia has announced additional late night flights and low fares this Harvest Festival and Hari Raya Aidilfitri festive period.
Fixed at just RM99* one-way from Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu and Johor Bahru, RM149* from Peninsular Malaysia to Sarawak and RM199* from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah, the fares will be made available for travel between 31 May and 17 June 2019. AirAsia will also provide low fares on select routes to East Malaysia during the period 27 May and 30 May 2019.
AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said, “While our guests are preparing for Harvest Festival and Hari Raya, we are making preparations to bring them home to their loved ones. More than 115,000 additional seats will be made available this festive period and we’d like to thank the government for their support in obtaining these flight approvals. From everyone at AirAsia, Selamat Hari Raya and Happy Harvest Festival.”
Minister of Transport YB Loke Siew Fook said, “I am pleased that AirAsia is increasing its flight frequencies during festive seasons to keep the fares competitive and reasonable. The additional flights with fixed fares offer the best value for Malaysians during Hari Raya and Harvest Festival particularly between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak. We believe it is important for the aviation players and the government to work together in making travelling affordable for everyone, and I’m pleased that AirAsia is supporting the government’s initiative.”
All guests who are travelling over this period are advised to arrive earlier to the airport and to anticipate some congestion at security checkpoints and check-in counters.
Guests flying during this period are also strongly advised to check-in online and print out their boarding pass. Web and mobile check-in are available from 14 days prior to the departure of all AirAsia flights.
For guests departing from Senai International Airport in Johor Bahru, AirAsia is encouraging the use of its Fast Airport Clearance Experience System (FACES), which provides a seamless check-in to aircraft experience. FACES registration is available for free on the AirAsia Mobile App.
