As part of WCT Malls’ corporate social responsibility in reaching out to the underprivileged, Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya recently collaborated with Kechara Food Bank in running a yearlong food donation drive campaign which started in January 2020 – December 2020. The Food Bank has since accumulated dry goods worth over RM4,000 from the public.
A visit to PPR Lembah Subang by the team from WCT Malls and Kechara Food Bank was recently held on 26 February 2020 to meet and donate the dry goods to various underprivileged families. The trip was also graced by the presence of Y.A.M Tengku Datin Paduka Setia Zatashah who spent time chatting with the families.
Apart from donating the provisions and groceries, Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya also distributed hand sanitizers to the neighbourhood children for their safety amidst the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Kechara Food Bank Donation drive is part of WCT Group’s sustainability initiative and aligned to United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in achieving SDG Goal No. 2 - Zero Hunger.
