The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 51 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 9,315 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (91.6% of total cumulative cases).
A total of 20 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 10,167 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 722 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment.
Of the 20 additional cases reported today, three (3) are imported cases who were infected overseas, involving two (2) Malaysians and one (1) non-Malaysian.
Of the 17 local transmission cases reported today, 14 cases are Malaysians and three (3) cases are non-Malaysians.
Currently, 12 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with two (2) patients on ventilation support.
Regretfully, one (1) additional COVID-19 death was reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 130 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.28% of total cumulative cases).
