Current Updates on COVID-19 in Malaysia [10 October 2020]



The Ministry of Health (MOH) would like to inform that 73 cases have fully recovered and discharged today. Cumulatively, 10,780 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been discharged (71.4% of total cumulative cases). 
 
A total of 374 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) MOH today. Cumulatively there are now 15,096 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Malaysia. Therefore, there are currently 4,161 active and infective COVID-19 cases. They have all been isolated and given treatment. 
 
Of the 374 cases reported today, two (2) are imported cases who were infected overseas. 
 
Of the 372 local transmission cases, 343 cases are Malaysians and 29 cases non-Malaysians. 
 
Currently, 73 confirmed COVID-19 cases are receiving treatment in the intensive care units (ICUs), with 28 patients on ventilation support. 
 
Regretfully, three (3) additional COVID-19 deaths were reported to the National CPRC MOH today. Cumulatively, there are now 155 COVID-19 deaths in Malaysia (1.03% of total cumulative cases)
