NEC poised to accelerate Malaysia’s digital economy with its new customer experience centre

NEC Corporation of Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (NEC Malaysia) is poised to accelerate Malaysia’s digital economy with the official opening of its new office today. The new and bigger location houses a modern customer experience centre showcasing NEC’s cutting-edge biometrics, AI, IoT and touchless technologies deployed in smart cities globally.
Both public and private sector partners in Malaysia will now be able to preview and experience the next frontier of smart city technologies at the new customer experience centre and fast track their digital transformation plans that were disrupted by the pandemic.
Key guests, including YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Department, and H.E. Oka Hiroshi, Japan Ambassador to Malaysia, witnessed the opening ceremony alongside NEC’s partners from both public and private sectors.
Following opening remarks, guests were given a comprehensive walkthrough of the customer experience centre which included demonstrations featuring NEC’s Digital ID portfolio, AI-driven smart command centre and various next-generation IoT solutions.

Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed said, “Malaysia is on the cusp of the fourth industrial revolution. As we navigate the uncertainties from COVID-19 and move to the digital economy, we need to introduce innovative solutions that benefit our society and ensure shared prosperity for all Malaysians. I congratulate NEC on the opening of their new office and look forward to their continued success.”
H.E. Oka Hiroshi said, “It's my pleasure to witness NEC Malaysia taking another step in enabling and helping Malaysia’s digital transformation journey. I firmly believe the new customer experience centre will serve as a catalyst for further collaboration among various stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions for a smarter society.”
