As a wrap up to its #SmileStrongBersama campaign, Colgate-Palmolive Malaysia (Colgate) put optimism into action and distributed 10,000 oral care packages to various segments of society, including frontliners and COVID-19 patients, as well as the less privileged communities.

Colgate's #SmileStrongBersama campaign and Donate A Smile Instagram filter were launched in December with the goal to inspire Malaysians to embrace their inner optimist and create a better future that we can all smile about. Malaysians were encouraged to donate their smiles, which were then converted into care packages to be donated.
“As the #1 Global Oral Care Brand, Colgate helps keep the world smiling by taking care of billions of people with the most technologically advanced and clinically proven oral care products. Towards this end, the #SmileStrongBersama campaign has helped us to achieve our goals of spreading optimism as well as helping the less privileged with their basic oral care needs. The campaign serves as a reminder that each one of us is empowered to make a difference through something as simple as donating a smile, and we all have the potential to make someone’s life better,” said See Mei Sin, Associate Director, Oral Care Marketing, Colgate-Palmolive, South Asean Hub.

See added, “It was truly an honour to have these individuals join us in making our #SmileStrongBersama campaign a success. Throughout the campaign, they tirelessly inspired Malaysians to embrace their inner optimists and to play their part in taking action to change the world. At Colgate, we strongly believe that everyone deserves a future they can smile about, regardless of their circumstances. I hope that this campaign has sparked hope, courage and positive action in the community.”

“Without a doubt, food, medicine and monetary aid are essential. However, people often forget that oral care is also an important basic necessity. Good oral care will improve one’s quality of life, boost self-esteem as well as encourage greater social participation and better job opportunities.1 As we continue to work together to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, we would like to thank all Malaysians who donated their smiles during our #SmileStrongBersama campaign and made a difference in the lives of frontliners, patients and the underprivileged. Our collective optimism can turn challenges into opportunities and create a better tomorrow for all,” See concluded.
The oral care packages were donated to the Covid-19 Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS); PSPK Women Development Centre; Pertubuhan Ikram Malaysia Muar; Kuala Lumpur Society; Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Da Ai Malaysia and Refuge for the Refugees.
