Award-winning edutainment centre reopens its doors into an exciting world of learning and entertainment amidst stringent SOPs
KidZania Kuala Lumpur is officially open for business, better and safer than ever before with so much in store! |
Exciting news for both parents and their children looking for some much-needed family fun and recreation. KidZania Kuala Lumpur, the highly-engaging indoor themed family edutainment centre has reopened its doors to renewed excitement. This comes as the establishment welcomes its new owner - Sim Leisure Group, the award winning, record-breaking company, well known for the ESCAPE brand of theme parks and other projects around the world.
With school holidays just around the corner and parents looking for imaginative ways to keep kids productively occupied, the move is certainly a warm, safe and welcoming one.
Combining learning and entertainment in an 80,000 square feet scaled replica of a real functioning city, KidZania Kuala Lumpur is back – bigger, bolder and better than ever before with newer activities where they’ll learn and experience different jobs, managing money and real world occupations, while developing all-important life skills that simply cannot be taught in the classroom. As part of KidZania Kuala Lumpur's newest offering, parents can now play an even more active role in their children's activities with a number of new shared role play experiences, making for some true, enriching quality family moments.
To further entice visitors, KidZania Kuala Lumpur has introduced discounted ticket prices through their new online ticketing system on their website (ranging from RM36 to RM46 for toddlers aged two to three years; RM75 to RM95 for children aged four to 17; and RM46 to RM58 for adults aged 18 to 60). Meanwhile, babies up to 12 months old, senior citizens above 60 and OKU cardholders will be accorded free entry.
“We are truly excited to finally reopen our doors into our world of fun, excitement and creative real-life learning. We are here to provide the much-anticipated FUN. So, our message here is clear – we are officially open for business, better and safer than ever before with so much in store,” said Sim Choo Kheng, Governor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur and CEO of Sim Leisure Group, the new owner and operator of KidZania Kuala Lumpur.
KidZania Kuala Lumpur has enforced strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for all to ensure a sound and conducive environment for visitors, staff and everyone at the establishment |
“Life during the various movement controls have definitely left a vacuum amongst families in terms of recreation. Because of that, many families are now looking forward to some well-deserved R&R, and understandably so. At the same time, we also acknowledge that there are valid concerns regarding the safety and protection of visitors. Safety measures are a priority for us, especially where children are involved. To this, we want to assure parents and all our visitors that we have taken every necessary precaution to ensure a sound and conducive environment for visitors, staff and everyone at KidZania Kuala Lumpur,” he added.
He iterated that KidZania Kuala Lumpur has enforced strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for all its employees and visitors, in order to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing.
Among these include detailed preparation and sanitization by staff of all facilities, establishments and areas within KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s premises. Stringent entry protocol for visitors and social distancing regulations will also be enforced, while the maximum number of people allowed within the premises will be limited at any given time. Hand sanitizers will also be strategically placed throughout the premises for guests’ use.
“While we want everyone to have a great time at KidZania Kuala Lumpur, we also have the responsibility to ensure they can do so in a safe environment. This is why we have invested a considerable amount of time, expense and energy to strategically and effectively put together a highly detailed list of SOPs and guidelines for our employees and visitors. As we will be limiting the number of visitors inside KidZania Kuala Lumpur, we would also encourage our visitors to make advanced bookings to ease their entry process. In fact, queuing will soon become a thing of the past at KidZania Kuala Lumpur as we are encouraging our guests to pre-purchase their tickets and do contactless entry via QR code,” said Sim.
True to its ‘Learn Life Today’ philosophy, KidZania Kuala Lumpur advocates hands-on interactive experiences and opportunities for children to learn new skills, while celebrating and harnessing their potential by combining inspiration, fun and learning through realistic role play.
This is done through interactive learning and real-time job roleplay, with over one hundred jobs across sixty city establishments. Taking on the replica of a real functioning child-sized city, replete with buildings, a functioning economy, recognisable destinations and local and multi-national sponsored and branded establishments, KidZania Kuala Lumpur provides educational and inspiring value by blending real-world learning with entertainment.
