Nasi Lemak McD now comes with aromatic coconut rice infused with the sweet fragrance of pandan leaves
McDonald’s Malaysia is introducing an improved recipe to its popular Nasi Lemak McD. Rich in flavour, this customer favourite is now served with aromatic coconut rice infused with pandan leaves, crispy anchovies, fresh cucumbers, and fried egg, topped with spicy sweet sambal – creating the perfect balance of sweet and savoury.
This recipe will be a permanent menu item enabling customers to enjoy this dish at any time of the day in all McDonald’s restaurants across the country.

As one of the most popular and beloved dishes in the country, we understand how much nasi lemak means to Malaysians. We are excited to introduce this improved recipe to satisfy our customer’s cravings, and we hope Malaysians will now enjoy this dish more than ever, since the introduction to the Nasi Lemak McD in 2019,” said Melati Abdul Hai, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald’s Malaysia.
To complement this new menu item, customers can also indulge in a range of desserts, such as the irresistible Caramel Cream Cheese Pie and Salted Caramel McFlurry,or for a limited time only, McNuggets dipping sauces – French Cheese and Honey Mustard.
The improved Nasi Lemak McD is available in a set with one piece of Ayam Goreng and Iced Lemon Tea at RM12.99 or two pieces of Ayam Goreng and Iced Lemon Tea at RM15.99. Customers also have the option of having the Nasi Lemak McD with Spicy Chicken McDeluxe or GCB cutlets together with Iced Lemon Tea at RM14.99.
McDonald’s chicken products are Halal and delivered fresh every day, which means customers can look forward to a delicious Nasi Lemak McD with juicy and tasty Ayam Goreng McD, any time.
