- the “+flix” for the arts showcases the best in local music, comedy, dance, theatre
MyPentas, Malaysia’s first-of-its-kind OTT video streaming platform, announce an exciting line up of multi-lingual talents across the performing arts – music, comedy, dance, and theatre for its debut in Malaysia and the region. Designed and built as a one-stop stage for fans and artists alike, MyPentas has its sights on being the “+flix” for the global performing arts scene.
The virtual stage showcases the work of some best talents including several leading names, via video-on-demand on MyPentas’ website. This includes the likes of Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) winner, Ana Raffali, singer and idol who recently made her comeback, Najwa Latiff, soulful singer-songwriter Talitha Tan, pop-punk band, One Buck Short, the 60s inspired band, Kugiran Masdo, alongside names previously announced, such as the popular actress and singer-songwriter, Daiyan Trisha, renowned comedian, Andrew Netto and Malaysian award-winning Indian classical dancer, January Low.
A game changer in the OTT space, MyPentas is Southeast Asia’s first and likely the world’s pioneering digital experience of its kind, connecting fans, artists and content creators in a boarderless and interactive performing arts space.
Announcing the lineup, Chief Digital Officer, Muralee Pillay said, ”It is an honour for us to be able to collaborate with these hugely talented Malaysian artists and connect them with their fans and audience locally and even internationally. The beauty of digital is the reach is limitless. With a focus on a niche area of the arts, powered by a well-built system and interface, MyPentas creates a unique and personalised audience engagement.”
Exciting content in the works includes The Frankie Sixes, a jazz project by singer-songwriter Reza Saleh, and local songbirds typically in the underground scene such as Russel Curtis, Priscilla Xavier, Anna Chong, Santosh, Maha Jeffrey, Amrita Soon and many others.
“MyPentas’ purpose is to stand in support of the performing arts and provide an equal opportunity for homegrown talents from the music, comedy, dance, and theatre irrespective of their background, genre, where they are in their creative journey, and language. Here, their work and talent shine - while receiving a sustainable, long term revenue stream for their content,” Muralee continued.
MyPentas is calling out all local performers from any genres - music, comedy, dance, and theatre to be in touch with the Twenty30 Digital team at contact@mypentas.com for collaboration opportunities.
