The long awaited revolutionary strategy mobile RPG - Alchemy Stars is here! The game is available in English, Japanese, and Korean languages. For those who pre-registered are entitled to get tons of milestone rewards to help you kickstart your adventures!
Alchemy Stars is a hero-collection, strategy RPG developed by TourDogStudio. The game will require players to focus and strategize their party to defeat their enemies. The game has an RPG-type storyline that is simple and dynamic. It is written by Tadashi Satomi who was a scenario-writer responsible for the scenario, characters, and setting of the original Persona games.
The game tells the story of the world Astra, whom the Aurorians and Caelestites have inhabited for the longest time. However, peace did not last as Astra was invaded by dark creatures known as Eclipsites. Players will take on the role of the sole survivor of the Caelestites race, helping the Aurorian warriors to defeat the Eclipsites.
The game’s combat drew some reference from connect-3 puzzle games. In Alchemy Stars, Players match adjacent tiles with similar colors to activate their character’s attack. Also, by connecting more matching-colored tiles, players can unleash powerful skills that can cover the whole battlefield.
There are 4 different colored tiles in the game that matches the element of your characters. Red for Fire, Blue for Water, Yellow for Thunder, and Green for Forest. It is important to plan your party according to the elemental advantage as your character will only attack when you choose to connect the same-colored tiles. The only exception is your Party Captain as he or she can attack regardless of the colored tiles you choose to connect.
There are over 80 different characters split into 6 different factions for players to collect. Each of these characters has unique skills that are useful during combat. Unlike most hero-collection games where you just bring along all the high rarity characters and steamroll your opponents, certain high-level stages in Alchemy Stars require Players to bring along characters with specific skills to overcome the stage. This means that you will need to develop and use characters across different rarities instead of just the 6-stars.
Since the layout of the battlefield is always different whenever you revisit a stage, strategic party management becomes an important factor that will decide the outcome of the battle.
Besides fighting, Players can interact and learn more about your characters by playing through the character’s stories, chatting, and spending time with your favorite characters in the Colossus – a place where you can have your social gatherings with your characters and acquire important materials and resources that can aid you in your adventure. Players can improve your facility’s performance by deploying characters with the relevant work skill to increase the efficiency of your production.
Graphics-wise, the game features eye-catching sci-fi, fantasy illustrations. The game combines magic with futuristic settings such as the environment and character designs. In addition, the characters are dubbed by voice actors from Japan. The game also allows players to see characters in dynamic mode which features subtle movements or “wind-blowing” effects, particles, and other small details. To accommodate entry-level or older smartphones, players can choose to display their characters in Static mode.
You can download Alchemy Stars HERE or through the Google Play Store for Android users and at the App Store for iOS users.
