The final-year Diploma students from IACT College will be organizing a Valorant Gaming Tournament called“Rise of Athena: All-Female Valorant Tournament 2021” on the 17th and 18th of July, which will be livestreamed on their Facebook page in efforts to encourage female participation in the competitive gaming scene and to promote the healthy spirit of competitiveness amongst female gamers in Malaysia and Singapore.
Coined “The New NRML”, this student-run event page has organized a number of virtual events which were live streamed to audiences via their social media platforms. From live concerts, online workshops, and even a virtual auction, ‘The New NRML’ has strived to provide a complimentary, entertaining, and engaging experience for all.
This year, ‘The New NRML’ has returned with “Rise of Athena: All-Female Valorant Tournament 2021” which will be open exclusively to female players from Malaysia and Singapore. There will be a total of 16 teams competing for the prize pool worth up to MYR 3,000.00 in single elimination brackets. Athena, the Olympian Goddess of wisdom and war, is used as the tournament’s official emblem, to promote and represent the female demographic in the virtual competitive battlefield.
Team Registration slots are still open and available until the 4th of July, with a set fee of MYR
