Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Malaysia have launched an innovative ‘Fuel Your Stay’ that rewards domestic travelers and staycationers with up to RM50 in credit or reimbursement for petrol when they book directly with the properties.
So, when you hit the road, fill up your vehicle with petrol and make sure to keep the payment receipt. Upon check-in, simply present the original receipt (must be dated/timed within 24 hours of arrival) and the front desk will reimburse your petrol costs accordingly or offer an equivalent amount in spending credit – up to a maximum of RM50.
This limited time offer is available until 31 March 2022 (blackout dates apply) across all properties in Malaysia under the Shangri-La Group – namely Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and Shangri-La Golden Sands in Penang, Shangri-La Kula Lumpur, Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur, JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La, JEN Johor Putri Harbour by Shangri-La as well as Shangri-La Tanjung Aru and Shangri-La Rasa Ria in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
The offer is available for Malaysian residents only and limited to one credit/reimbursement per room, per stay. In addition, guests staying at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and Shangri-La Golden Sands in Penang will enjoy free parking throughout their stays and access to charging stations for electric vehicles.

“With international travel still not practical for many people, domestic tourism is on everyone’s minds instead. Destinations like Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Johor and Kota Kinabalu have so much to offer. We know Malaysians enjoy a good road trip, especially when travelling with friends and family members. Be it taking in the scenery or the luxury of stopping for a food hunt along the way, It is what makes the journey so much fun.
“But with all the challenges brought about by the pandemic, many will understandably want to stretch their Ringgit further. And through this initiative, we hope to offset guests’ travelling expenses a little so they’ll have more to spend on the things they want to see or do at their destinations, said Suleiman Tunku Abdul Rahman, Director of Communications for Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and Shangri-La Golden Sands in Penang.
So, wait no more and start planning your 2022 Malaysia road trip today! Book via the links below to enjoy this special offer.
