With the celebration of Chinese New Year, the team at Multimedia Group with UHuu the Tiger Mascot and local artists visited a charity home of orphans and senior citizens in Klang recently.
The visit was made this past Saturday at the nursing center of Pusat Jagaan Rumah Orang Tua Chik Sin Thong Klang dan Pantai, Persatuan Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Ekliptik Klang dan Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim Berkat Kasih. Food supplies and angpaus are given to the residents of all three homes.
Celebrating the visiting occasion was the Managing Director of Multimedia Group, Datuk Steven Lim Boon Siong with film director Teng Bee and a line-up of artists consists of Joey Leong, JieYing and Jonathan Lee presenting Chinese New Year songs to the residents. The presence of UHuu the Tiger Mascot further adds to the auspicious atmosphere to the delight of the occupants of the charity homes.
Datuk Steven said the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) last year has prevented the team at Multimedia Group from reaching out to these homes with the intention of charity activities during the Chinese New Year period.
“This year, we are relieved that we are able to visit and help these people in conjunction with the festive celebration. We want to brighten up the mood and thus UHuu the Tiger Mascot was brought along to the visits of these orphans and senior citizens. We hope that this visit will raise their moods in celebrating Chinese New Year”, he said.
According to Steven, the charity visit concurrently aims to strengthen the bond and hope of the team at Multimedia Group and all parties involved to keep up the fight in the midst of the challenging journeys of the pandemic.
"The year of the water tiger indicates a special significance as the Malayan tigers in our country are continuously threatened. This animal carries the symbols of courage, integrity and unity. I believe together we can join hands to achieve prosperity as the people of Malaysia!", Datuk Steven said.
The charity visit was brightened further by the visit of the General Manager of Multimedia Group Datin Vince Chin, Director Lim Boon Han and other partners.
