When it comes to smartphones, there are many options available from Samsung, which is one of the world's largest smartphone manufacturers. From the ultra-premium Galaxy S22 Ultra to the more budget-friendly Galaxy A series, Samsung has something for everyone. For those still unfamiliar with the A-series, the Samsung Galaxy A is the sub-flagship line, priced lower than the S line but borrowing several design elements, such as full-screen displays and under-screen fingerprint sensors in some models.
This year, Samsung launched its newest mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A73 5G, at a virtual launch event last month. ZulYusmar.com team had the opportunity to unbox the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and test it out to gain our first hands-on experience with this latest 5G phone from Samsung.
At first glance, the packaging box for the Galaxy A73 5G appears to be much more compact and thinner than the packaging boxes for previous Galaxy A Series phones sold by Samsung. The design of the A73 box is quite similar to the retail box design of the Galaxy S21 Series, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S22 Series.
As most Samsung fans are already aware, Samsung has omitted one piece of equipment that was previously always bundled in the packaging box of the Galaxy A Series; the adapter for charging your phone. Galaxy A73 5G is the first-ever Samsung Galaxy A Series phone that does not come with an adapter. Unline the latest generation, the previous Galaxy A72 came with a charger accessory bundled in its box. The latest Samsung Galaxy A73 5G box contains only a USB-C to USB-C charging cable, a SIM ejector, a user manual, and an official warranty.
The first impression we had while holding this phone was that it is comfortable to hold because the size of the cellphone is neither too large nor too small when held by an adult's hand. The Galaxy A53 5G measures 163.7 x 76.1 x 7.6 mm and weighs around 181 grams on paper, making it slightly smaller, thinner, and lighter than the Galaxy A72, which measures 165 x 77.4 x 8.4 mm and weighs 203 grams. The Galaxy A73 5G's thickness has been reduced slightly, possibly due to the removal of the 3.5 mm audio jackhole from the previous generation.
In addition to being thin, the back of the Galaxy A73 5G is polished with a matte touch and is resistant to fingerprints, so it will be comfortable to hold for a long time, and the surface will not become dirty or slippery in the hands. The Galaxy A73 case comes in three colors; Awesome Gray, Awesome Mint, and Awesome White.
We will continue to use the Galaxy A73 in our daily lives to provide a more comprehensive and refined review for our lovely readers. Keep an eye out for a full review in a few weeks.
