Traveloka is also launching ‘Pay At Hotel’ in Malaysia to celebrate Pay Day and Merdeka month
Independence Day, or Hari Merdeka in Malay, is the official Independence Day of Malaysia that commemorates the Malayan Declaration of Independence of 31 August 1957. To celebrate Merdeka month, Traveloka is encouraging travellers to show their appreciation for Malaysia by visiting Kuala Lumpur, the nation’s federal territory.
With border restrictions eased from 1 April 2022, Malaysia has since surpassed its targeted two million international tourist arrivals as of 17 June 2022, within a span of 2 months. This positive development has led to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) setting a revised target of welcoming 4.5 million international tourist arrivals, and are optimistic about achieving a higher number of tourists.
Angelica Chan, Country Manager, Traveloka Malaysia, says “Greater Kuala Lumpur (Klang Valley) is the cultural, economic and financial centre of Malaysia. There is so much to learn, relearn and appreciate about, be it architecture, diversity of the people, food, nature or even shopping. Traveloka is able to complement that experience by providing its users with a wide range of local attractions, activities, wellness and beauty clinics, as well as culinary directories.”
As such, travellers can expect to enjoy up to 30 percent off bookings for hotels and attractions around Klang Valley. On top of that, those who apply the coupon code YAYSTAYCAY when they book hotels in Klang Valley, will receive up to RM100 off, with a minimum spend of RM380 between 8 August and 30 September 2022.
Book your hotels and attraction tickets to rediscover Klang Valley on Traveloka today.
In addition, to celebrate Pay Day and Merdeka month, Traveloka Malaysia is also taking this opportunity to launch Pay At Hotel (PAH) on 25 August 2022. Since its launch regionally, Traveloka has seen growth of up to 133 times, as well as bookings doubling in 2019. We hope that the introduction of this feature in Malaysia will provide additional payment flexibility for our consumers, while we continue to innovate in line with consumer demand.
