Joy is often described as feeling on top of the world! This certainly rings true for the children and caretakers from Badan Amal Nur Zaharah, Bentong as they literally and figuratively soared above the clouds during a special visit to Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park, hosted by Resorts World Genting (RWG), recently.
The trip, organised as part of RWG’s corporate social responsibility and community initiative to spread kindness, empathy, and joy saw the exuberant children eagerly exploring Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park’s many fun rides and attractions.
The children were guided on age-appropriate attractions with older thrill-seeking children enjoying adrenaline-pumping rides such as the Terraform Tower Challenge; Samba Gliders; ESD Global Defender and Independence Day: Defiance whilst the younger ones enjoyed colourful, spinning adventures on the Hummingbird Flyer, Rio Carnaval Chaos and Bigweld’s Zeppelins. The children had a splashing good time at Acorn Adventure and relished the opportunity to experience the newly launched rides namely Ice Age’s Expedition Thin Ice and Invasion of the Planet of the Apes. They also enjoyed a sumptuous lunch at Buck’s CafĆ© and a stroll down Liberty Lane, Madison Square and Central Park Loop to see the mesmerising fountain at the Lake of Dreams.
Caretaker, Pn. Norbani Binti Yusof, who accompanied the children to the theme park said that they were thankful and happy that RWG had given the charity home an opportunity to visit Genting Skyworlds Theme Park. She added that the children were overjoyed and thrilled with the trip and would cherish memories of it.
“Genting SkyWorlds is truly magical. There’s so much to see and do and the rides are out of this world!” said 16-year old Mohd Firdaus Bin Kamarudin, adding that he would like to return for another visit.
“It’s heartening to see the cheerful smiles and excitement of our young guests as we welcome them to our latest outdoor theme park attraction. As purveyors of world-class enjoyment, leisure and entertainment, we are pleased to be able to offer a fully-sponsored respite for children from underserved backgrounds who may otherwise not have the opportunity to enjoy the attractions at Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park,” said Dato’ Sri Kay Atisha Parasuraman, Vice President of Corporate Communications & Public Relations at Genting Malaysia Berhad (GENM).
She added that GENM is committed in giving back and making a positive difference in the community and that the company plans to do more to support and engage the wider community in social and environmental concerns as the Malaysian economy recovers post-Covid.
