TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. (TNG Digital) is delighted to announced that its Touch ‘n Go eWallet has been honoured with a “Silver Award” by Asia Smart App Awards 2022/2023, under the Lifestyle and Entertainment category. This ranks the eWallet amongst the best apps in the Asia region for the category.
Expressing his excitement about the results, Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital Sdn. Bhd. said, “We are delighted to receive regional recognition for our product the Touch ‘n Go eWallet. This is testament to the trust and confidence that our 20-million strong userbase has given us over the years. We assure our users that they can rely on us as their No. 1 lifestyle and financial app.”
Touch ‘n Go eWallet is the cornerstone of Malaysia’s cashless society, shaping the way millions of users work, live, and pay. The eWallet has grown to have over 20 million users and more than 1.7 million merchant touchpoints, the largest network in the country. The company also announced cross-border payments in 2022, users can pay with the eWallet in the Chinese Mainland, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan with many more countries to come.
The company has continued to provide inclusive services to its users through a range of curated financial services products that complements the lifestyle needs of users such as GO+, GOpinjam, GOinvest, GOprotect, and the very first CSR-linked Visa Card.

Following the success of the previous editions, the 9th edition Asia Smart App Awards (ASA) 2022/2023 was organised by the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA) last month, in Hong Kong. The awards receive funding support from Create Hong Kong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The ASA is dedicated to recognising the contributions of industry insiders to the smart app industry, providing a networking platform for smart app industry professionals from local and Asia regions, as well as encouraging growth and development within the industry.
