The University of Cyberjaya is proud to announce the launch of its dynamic Creative Arts and Design programmes through the exciting UoC Cup: Mobile Legends Tournament. As part of this momentous occasion, the University is offering scholarships collectively valued at over RM1 million for any of its six prestigious Creative Arts and Design programmes. Additionally, participants can compete for a thrilling prize pool of RM10,000.
Set to take place at the prestigious University of Cyberjaya Grand Hall on October 14 and 15, 2023, the UoC Cup marks the University's debut into the world of e-sports. With a vision to uplift communities through education, this tournament underscores our mission to provide not only access but a standard of education that prepares today's youth for a dynamic future.
The UoC Cup offers remarkable scholarships, collectively exceeding RM1 million in value, to winners among the top 30 finalists. These scholarships can be applied to any of its six esteemed Creative Arts and Design programmes, including the Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons) in 3D Animation, Bachelor in Creative Multimedia (Hons), Bachelor of Art (Hons) in Graphic Design (Advertising), Diploma in Graphic Design, Diploma in Digital Creative Content, and Diploma in 3D Animation.
Saladin Gelam Mohamed, Head of the Faculty of Creative Art and Design, emphasizes the immense value of these programmes in today's job market. "Creative Arts and Design programmes provide students with highly transferrable skills that are sought after by employers across various industries. In addition to the academic incentives, the UoC Cup boasts an impressive prize pool of RM10,000 for the top 8 winning teams. This includes RM4,000 for the 1st place, RM3,000 for the 2nd place, RM1,500 for the 3rd place, and RM700 for the 4th place. Even teams ranking 5th to 8th will receive RM200 each. This marks the most substantial prize pool ever offered for a Mobile Legends Bang Bang tournament in Malaysia.
