Corning® Gorilla® Armor is the result of an exacting process that covers the glass surface with special ions in nanometer layers — each one thinner than a human hair. The end product is a high-tech material that reduces glare by up to 75%, making the display more readable and minimizing screen reflection even in bright sunlight or harsh indoor lighting.
This process makes the glass display tough, so users of the latest Galaxy smartphone can enjoy greater protection from the everyday wear and tear that gradually damages screens over time. In Corning lab tests, Corning® Gorilla® Armor demonstrated that it was more than four times as scratch resistant as competing display glasses made from aluminosilicates.[1]
