The anticipation grows as Vietjet expands its flight network between Vietnam and China, building on the success of its earlier launches of Shanghai and Chengdu services this year. Pioneering the route, Vietjet is now the first airline to offer direct flights connecting Vietnam’s economic hub, Ho Chi Minh City, with China’s ancient capital, Xi'an. This non-stop service provides travellers with increased options, reduced travel time, and cost savings.
Commencing on 29 April 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City – Xi'an route will operate four return flights per week. Flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Xi'an will depart every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 20:05 (local time), arriving at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport at 01:30 the following day (local time). Return flights from Xi'an to Ho Chi Minh City will depart every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 02:30 (local time), landing in Ho Chi Minh City at 06:25 (local time).
Malaysian passengers now have additional flight options with convenient transit in Ho Chi Minh City. Operating daily, the flights between Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City offer passengers increased flexibility and an alternative route to Xi’an.
Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province in China’s Northwestern region, holds historical significance as the ancient capital for thirteen Chinese dynasties. It serves as a vital point along the legendary Silk Road, fostering trade and cultural exchange between Asia and Europe. Known for its rich history, Xi'an boasts cultural treasures such as the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, the Great Wild Goose Pagoda, and Datang Furong Park.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City stands as Vietnam's largest financial, cultural, and tourism hub. Visitors can savour authentic Vietnamese delicacies such as Pho, Banh Mi, and coffee while exploring the city's vibrant culture. Convenient connections are available to other popular Vietnamese destinations including Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Hue and more.
To celebrate the new route and its commitment to budget-friendly travel, Vietjet launches a special Friday sale with fares as low as RM120 all-in for the travel until December 31, 2024 (*). Promotional tickets are up for grabs every Friday until the end of year on www.vietjetair.com and Vietjet Air’s mobile app.
Experience the joy of flying with Vietjet aboard modern, eco-friendly aircraft, operated by a professional and dedicated flight crew. Indulge in a delightful culinary journey featuring a selection of international and Vietnamese cuisine, including signature dishes like Pho and Banh Mi. Additionally, enjoy unique cultural and artistic performances during your flight at an altitude of 10,000 metres. Vietjet also offers complimentary SkyCare insurance to all passengers, ensuring a worry-free travel experience.
(*) Excluding holidays, Lunar New Year and peak seasons of each market.
