The insurtech company is named among the World's Top 150 InsurTechs by Statista and CNBC, and was awarded Most Disruptive Insurtech in Malaysia by the IAN Country Awards 2024, marking a quintuple victory this year.
PolicyStreet, a leading insurtech company, is proud to be one of the three companies in Malaysia named among the World's Top 150 InsurTech Companies 2024 by CNBC and Statista. This accolade follows closely on the heels of PolicyStreet being awarded the Most Disruptive InsurTech in Malaysia at the Insurance Asia News (IAN) Country Awards for Excellence 2024.
These awards underscore PolicyStreet’s dedication to enhancing insurance accessibility and inclusivity, particularly for underserved communities. The company’s range of embedded insurance products is tailored to meet diverse needs, featuring groundbreaking elements such as unemployment coverage, education allowance, inconvenience allowance, and professional indemnity.
"Being recognised among the World’s Top 150 Insurtech Companies and as the Most Disruptive InsurTech in Malaysia is a testament to our commitment to innovation and customer-centricity. These awards affirm our efforts in prioritising the needs of the underserved communities and drive meaningful change in the insurance landscape,” says Yen Ming Lee, Co-founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of PolicyStreet.
PolicyStreet’s impact is evident through its substantial reach across various underserved segments. To date, close to half a million gig workers are protected through partnerships with leading companies such as foodpanda, ShopeeFood, and Kiddocare, among others. Additionally, PolicyStreet has sold over 10 million Damage Protection Plans in partnership with Shopee Malaysia, with one in six Malaysians benefiting from this comprehensive coverage. PolicyStreet also pioneered the first-of-its-kind unemployment insurance in collaboration with CARSOME offering protection to vulnerable vehicle owners from job retrenchment.
PolicyStreet’s recognition among the World's Top 150 InsurTechs by Statista and CNBC, along with being awarded Most Disruptive Insurtech in Malaysia by the IAN Country Awards for Excellence 2024, marks the company’s 4th and 5th award wins this year. Earlier in 2024, PolicyStreet was named Fintech Startup of the Year at the Triple A Digital Awards, recognised as a High-Growth Company in Asia Pacific by Financial Times and Statista, and won Best Use of Tech at SOBA 2023. These accolades underscore PolicyStreet’s continued impact and innovation in the insurtech industry.
