This August, mark Merdeka Day together with The Body Shop as it celebrates its 40th anniversary in Malaysia. In support of People and Planet, The Body Shop celebrates change and changemakers who make a meaningful impact for individuals and communities.
In line with its brand purpose - ‘we exist to fight for a fairer, more beautiful world’ - Dexter Foong, General Manager, The Body Shop Malaysia said: “The Body Shop has always been an advocate for positive change, guided by ethical and environmental principles, from Community Fair Trade to 100% vegan products. It is only fitting to mark our 40 years of goodness with a Changemaking Campus that encourages others to do the same. We all have opportunities to be a force for good and we hope to inspire individuals to help others, by supporting the 'Gaza Home of Hope & Love' project for orphans by Rose2Rose.”
The Body Shop’s Changemaking Campus, set up from Monday 26 August to Sunday 1 September 2024, will transform the Centre Court of Mid Valley Megamall KL into a sensory haven to empower individuals to learn more about their unique skin needs and how to create personalised skincare solutions that suit them.
Various booths will be available, as well as a Changemakers photo wall, and those who complete the Changemaking Campus Tour will receive free samples. In addition, the first 40 visitors from 3pm on weekdays will receive a free scoop of ice-cream as a special treat. For more rewards, download The Body Shop app and register as a Love Your Body™ Friend* to redeem a voucher worth RM10 and a free pouch.
During this time, with every purchase from the British Rose range, The Body Shop will contribute RM1 to support the 'Gaza Home of Hope & Love' project by Rose2Rose, an initiative of Humanitarian Care Malaysia (MyCARE). Rose2Rose supports vulnerable communities such as women and children impacted by conflict, providing opportunities for education and empowerment. For more information about this worthy cause, log on to www.thebodyshop.com.my/tbs-rose2rose-donation.
This effort is one of many which reflects The Body Shop’s advocacy in support of social and environmental causes, from its Community Fair Trade programme that provides local famers, producers and artisans with fair compensation and market access, to being completely cruelty-free with 100% vegan products and being early adopters of environmentally-friendly practices such as using sustainable packaging for a greener future.
* Love Your Body™ friend receive rewards on purchases, exclusive in-app offers and promotions from time to time, with regular updates on existing/new products.
