W Kuala Lumpur Makes Dual Promotion To Its Leadership Team



Marriott International, Inc. has announced the appointment of Lisa Low as the Hotel Manager and Nuno Abreu as the Director of B&F (Beverage and Food) for W Kuala Lumpur; the leading city escape in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre with iconic views. W Kuala Lumpur made its debut in August 2018 – marking it the brand’s first foray into Malaysia.

Lisa who has been with W Kuala Lumpur since February 2020 marking it her fourth year being with the W hotels brand is no stranger to the hotel industry and to the brand. Moving up and making a strong statement that women can do anything, the ever competitive and head strong Director of Sales & Marketing will be leading the team as she sees best with her can-do attitude and exuberant spirit.

Prior to being the hotel’s connector, Lisa embarked on her career at the Four Seasons as a sales manager, before moving on to become the Assistant Director of Sales at The Westin Langkawi and Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur simultaneously. She then spent five years overseeing various properties under the Starwood Hotels umbrella including the St Regis and the Andaman. Following which, she assumed the Director of Sales position at Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

Volker Burth

With her proven track record of delivering exceptional results and her profound understanding of the hospitality industry, Lisa is poised to make significant contributions to the continued success of W Kuala Lumpur. As Hotel Manager, she will report directly to the General Manager; Volker Burth and will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of guest satisfaction, fostering team engagement and leadership and devising sales strategies.

Additionally, Nuno who has moved up the ladder as the Director of B&F with over 10 years of expertise within the food and beverage industry focused on the luxury and lifestyle segment is no stranger to the Marriott family. Having worked with The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm; The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Autograph Collection.

Nuno Abreu

He will report directly to Lisa and will continue to be in charge of the banquet service, in-room dining and the four B&F outlets at the hotel; Flock, YEN, Living Room (Woobar) and the best pool & rooftop bar in Kuala Lumpur; the WET Deck. Known for his creativity and an unwavering dedication to service excellence, Nuno will play a crucial role in overseeing the food and beverage operations and menu creations working closely with the hotel’s chefs and its beverage manager; Avai Manogaran.
