Malaysia Airlines Doubles its Capacity between Kuala Lumpur and Doha with a Second Daily Flight

Malaysia Airlines and Qatar Airways’ strategic partnership offers customers more choices and superior services via their leading hubs in KUL and DOH Malaysia Airlines is pleased to double its capacity between Kuala Lumpur and Doha with a second daily nonstop flight commencing 10 August 2022, in response to high passenger demand on this route. The additional daily service will depart from Kuala Lumpur at 2:55am via MH164 and from Doha at 8:05am via MH165. It is in addition to the existing daily services MH160 departing Kuala Lumpur at 9:20pm and MH161 departing Doha at 1:30am, bringing the number of Malaysia Airlines flights to Doha to 14 flights weekly. The twice-daily flights will be operated by the A330-300 aircraft with 27 state-of-the-art seats in Business Class, 16 seats in Economy with extra legroom, and 247 seats in Economy Class. Malaysia Airlines has increased its domestic and international connectivity beginning June and July respectively, to facilitate essential travels locally and as other countries begin to lift border restrictions. The airline will adjust its network capacity from time to time to ensure passenger demandsare met, prior to normalizing the schedule in October for both domestic and international destinations. Amal by Malaysia Airlines set to fly up to 20,000 pilgrims for this year’s Hajj season

Amal, the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimage arm of Malaysia Airlines, is set to transport up to 20,000 pilgrims for this year’s Hajj season. The first flight is scheduled to depart KL International Airport (KLIA) to Jeddah and Madinah on 4 July 2019. To ensure comfort and a seamless journey for pilgrims, Amal will be mounting up to 40 flights between Kuala Lumpur and Jeddah, as well as Madinah, on the A380-800 for the first Hajj phase from 4 July until 5 August. The airline will also be operating up to 70 feeder flights, utilizing its B737-800 aircraft, to transport pilgrims from Alor Setar, Pulau Pinang, Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Kuala Terengganu to KLIA. Malaysia Airlines Adds Extra Flights For Hari Raya

The national carrier will also be upgrading selected routes to wide-body airplanes Malaysia Airlines will be increasing and upgrading its flights to accommodate the Hari Raya travel surge beginning 25 May until 16 June 2019. Passengers can expect 32 extra flights between Kuala Lumpur and Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Kuching, Labuan, Miri, Sibu, Sandakan, Surabaya, Terengganu and Tawau. The airline will also be upgrading 10 domestic flights from the B737-800 to the A330-300 and A330-200s to accommodate passengers who will be travelling between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Medan as well as Penang.
