MDEC Announces Incentives Up To RM200,000 To Empower Digital Creative Companies

In a bid to foster innovation and drive digital transformation, Ministry of Digital through the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has announced a call for submissions for two incentive programmes, the Brand Metaverse Onboarding Programme and Immersive IP Experiences Programme which aim to accelerate the integration of Malaysian brands and intellectual properties (IPs) into the metaverse, offering substantial financial support of up to RM200,000 per project. YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, the Minister of Digital reveals the incentive programmes during the MDEC Digital Creative Industry Day, an annual gathering that brings together professionals in the digital content and creative technology field. MDEC Reaffirms Malaysia’s Leadership In Game Development Segment At TGS2023

Over 780 exhibitors and 240,000 visitors, Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2023 has officially come to an end. Proudly to say, Malaysia continues its ongoing pursuit by being the leading light for the game’s development in Southeast Asia. MDEC Announces GLOW Aspirasi To Fortify Sharing Economy And Support For Digital Freelancers

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Malaysia’s lead digital economy agency, today announced the Global Online Workforce (GLOW) Aspirasi programme for 2022, an initiative to continue supporting Malaysians to become competitive digital freelancers on a global platform. Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of MDEC GLOW Aspirasi is a distinct programme that echoes GLOW, the main programme that was introduced in 2016, and focuses on providing intensive training and mentoring sessions conducted solely by MDEC to ensure its quality and effectiveness. Scheduled to run between May and September 2022, the programme is set to train, coach and mentor 4,000 Malaysians into becoming digital freelancers.
