The spark of electrification lights up the Levante Hybrid
Levante Hybrid the SUV of duality: performance and reduced consumption, fast, sustainable, unique and focused on the future The spark of electrification hits the “Maserati of SUVs”. They say that lightning never strikes the same spot twice, but that’s just a legend: the incandescent flash that electrified the Ghibli Hybrid last year continues its path and prepares to ignite all future Maserati models. Levante Hybrid marks a bold step forwards into the future of Maserati. This new step combines the two-litre 4-cylinder thermal engine with a 48-volt Hybrid system that allows to the driver to recover energy during deceleration and braking. Technology meets exclusivity; power combines with a respect for the environment. Accepting less than the best is not an option. This latest evolution in the SUV is lighter than its corresponding petrol version: faster, greener and even more iconic. Incredible performance with minimal impact on the environment. With a maximum speed of 240 km/h, and 0 to

The Italian Team’s time is 7 hours, 50 minutes and 44 seconds Giovanni Soldini and Maserati Multi 70’s Team arrived in Porto Cervo at 9:09 38” on March 21st, setting a new Monaco to Porto Cervo multihull record, sailing 195 miles in 7 hours, 50 minutes and 44 seconds. The Italian crew’s record is only 2 minutes and 47 seconds better than the one set by MOD70 Phaedo3 in 2016 with Brian Thompson (7 hours, 53 minutes and 31 seconds and an average speed of 24,71 knots). The Italian trimaran crossed the starting line off Monaco at 1:18 54” on Sunday March 21st and picked up speed towards Corsica. Soldini commented: «At first we were sailing really fast with 25/30 knots of north- easterly wind, reaching up to 38 knots of speed, then the wind dropped before the Strait of Bonifacio for a couple of hours. Luckily, the wind got stronger again and we started speeding up in the strait. It’s been really incredible, we crossed the finish line sailing at 35 knots! We knew this would be a risky window

Bora turns 50: Maserati’s most rock-and-roll model, by the hand of Giorgetto Giugiaro
The Golden Year of rock, dominated by artists such as David Bowie, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, was also the year the Maserati Bora was born. The car, characterized by sleek, tapered lines with a futuristic and profoundly "rock and roll" soul, debuted 50 years ago today at the Geneva Motor Show. The influence of the Maserati Bora winds its way through the history of the brand up to the present day and the dawn of the latest chapter in the story of the Trident. As the first Maserati road car featuring a mid-rear engine, Bora set the path towards the future and to this day still shares key characteristics with all Maserati models: exclusivity, sportiness and design. Following the trend that had already revolutionised Formula 1 racing cars over previous years, Maserati asked Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign to come up with a mid-mounted rear engine sports car with enhanced performance, design, comfort and safety. Bora’s silhouette highlights the car’s pure aerodynamic and sporty

A new camouflaged Maserati spotted on the streets of Modena
The engine is 100% Maserati. The first “mule” for the development of the new Maserati engine was driven out of the Viale Ciro Menotti gates, in Modena today. The “mules” - as they are known in the automotive industry - of a new Maserati model have a special livery that echoes the “Save the Date” teaser sent out ahead of the event scheduled for May 2020. The experimental vehicles are equipped with a new engine installed in the rear central position. The powertrain – defined by an innovative combustion system – is entirely developed and built in Maserati and will be the forefather of a new family of engines integrated exclusively on the vehicles of the Brand. The data acquired through the kilometres covered by the mules will be integrated with the experience gathered in the Maserati Innovation Lab driving simulators, the most advanced in the world. This working methodology will then be used to fine-tune and develop the prototypes with final bodywork and mechanics.
