Projek Kantin MILO®: A RM3 million shot in the arm to energise B40 primary school-goers with free nutritious breakfasts
More than 35,000 students from B40 families in 700 primary schools across the country have begun receiving breakfast sets under Projek Kantin MILO®, a nutrition assistance programme initiated by MILO® in partnership with the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Projek Kantin MILO® provides students in need wholesome breakfast meals paired with nutritious MILO® UHT drinks – totaling more than 1 million sets – over a period of 20 schooling days for free. The meals are prepared by canteen school operators of the respective schools who are also subsidised under this programme. Key Highlights Strong local sales growth has compensated the subdued demand in some export markets. Growth was supported by strong sales execution, successful product innovations and effective marketing activities. Profit After Tax for FY2019 up by 2.1% to RM673 million, despite economic headwinds and challenging external factors. Proposed final dividend of RM1.40 per share, maintaining total dividends of RM2.80 per share.
