A RM 20,000 prize pool and 3 more weeks of esports action - how will university teams fare? Following the recent launch of its third season, the University e-League (UEL) kicked off its collegiate esports competition with its first out of four game titles – FIFA 22. This round of competition saw 50 students representing their universities competing in a Qualifiers and Playoff round to earn the top spot in the Grand Finals set to be held next month. In the coming weeks, UEL is set to bring more excitement and entertainment with over 200 university teams going head-to-head in games such as VALORANT, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and PUBG Mobile. UEL’s FIFA 22 Playoffs last weekend saw the participation of teams including Multimedia University (MMU), the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM), Swinburne University and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) amongst many others.
