University of Cyberjaya Library Receives Books Authored by Japanese Philosopher Daisaku Ikeda
University of Cyberjaya’s state-of-the-art library received more than 70 books from Soka Gakkai Malaysia, a non-governmental organisation on Wednesday, 18th January 2023. The books donated are authored or co-authored by philosopher and President of Soka Gakkai International, Daisaku Ikeda. The book donation ceremony that was held at the library was graced by University of Cyberjaya's dignitaries including Pro Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato' Dr. R. Palan and Board of Governor Chairman, Professor Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Mohd Amin Jalaludin. Daisaku Ikeda is a prolific writer, poet laureate, photographer, philosopher, scholar, educator, social activist, and passionate fighter for the cause of peace and global sustainability. University of Cyberjaya Confers Honorary Doctorate to Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi
University of Cyberjaya started the year by awarding Professor Dr. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, Vice Chancellor of Jawarharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi with an Honorary Doctorate of Social Sciences for her contributions in the field on Wednesday, 18th January 2023 at its campus. The honorary doctorate degree is the highest form of recognition offered by the University of Cyberjaya to persons of extraordinary distinction. University of Cyberjaya Pro Chancellor, Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. R. Palan conferred the Honorary Doctorate award to Professor Dr. Santishree at the campus during the special conferment ceremony. University of Cyberjaya Bag Multiple Awards for its Pharmaceutical Research Innovations
University of Cyberjaya (UoC) recently excelled with 3 awards at the International Conference and Exposition on Inventions by Institutions of Higher Learning (PECIPTA 2022 Exhibition) and Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) SDG 2022. 2 research teams from the university’s Centre for Research and Graduate Studies submitted their inventions – the Oral Fast Dissolving Film and Fast Melt Cocoa Butter Tablet – for both exhibitions. The Oral Fast Dissolving Film was given the silver award at both exhibitions and the Fast Melt Cocoa Butter Table was awarded bronze at the MTE SDG 2022. Head of the Pharmaceutical Technology and Industry Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Liew Kai Bin has also secured a Fundamental Research Grand Scheme (FRGS) award of RM144,300 from the Ministry of Higher Education for his research just last year.
